    This site allows HTML content. While learning all of HTML may feel intimidating, learning how to use a very small number of the most basic HTML "tags" is very easy. This table provides examples for each tag that is enabled on this site.

    For more information see W3C's HTML Specifications or use your favorite search engine to find other sites that explain HTML.

    By default paragraph tags are automatically added, so use this tag to add additional ones.<p>Paragraph one.</p> <p>Paragraph two.</p>

    Paragraph one.

    Paragraph two.

    By default line break tags are automatically added, so use this tag to add additional ones. Use of this tag is different because it is not used with an open/close pair like all the others. Use the extra " /" inside the tag to maintain XHTML 1.0 compatibilityText with <br />line breakText with
    line break

    Most unusual characters can be directly entered without any problems.

    If you do encounter problems, try using HTML character entities. A common example looks like &amp; for an ampersand & character. For a full list of entities see HTML's entities page. Some of the available characters include:

    Character DescriptionYou TypeYou Get
    Ampersand&amp;&
    Größer als&gt;>
    Kleiner als&lt;<
    Quotation mark&quot;"
  • Lines and paragraphs are automatically recognized. The <br /> line break, <p> paragraph and </p> close paragraph tags are inserted automatically. If paragraphs are not recognized simply add a couple blank lines.
  • Link Filter tag tips

    Link filter tags [l:URL text] in the input text will be replaced with a link to the given URL, which can be a Drupal link, an external web link, or a local non-Drupal link. Prefixes representing the site url and the Drupal path are added, as appropriate:
    1) Site url is prefixed if URL begins with a / character
    2) No prefix is added if the URL has a : in it, as in http: or ftp: etc
    3) Site url with Drupal base directory is prefixed in all other cases, this is handled by calling the Drupal l() function.
    Examples, assuming site is at http://example.com, and Drupal is installed in a sub-directory named drupal:
    [l:node/281 Blue Sun] ==> <a... href="http://example.com/drupal/travel/blue-sun" ...>Blue Sun</a>
    Above example assumes that node/281 is aliased to travel/blue-sun.
    [l:travel/blue-sun Blue <em>Sun</em>] ==> <a... href="http://example.com/drupal/travel/blue-sun" ...>Blue <em>Sun</em></a>
    [l:travel/blue-sun] ==> <a... href="http://example.com/drupal/travel/blue-sun" ...>Blue Sun</a>
    Above example assumes that the title of the travel/blue-sun node is Blue Sun.
    [l:/pub/download.zip Download] ==> <a... href="http://example.com/pub/download.zip" ...>Download</a>
    [l:http://www.example.com/ Example Web Site!] ==> <a... href="http://www.example.com/" ...>Example Web Site!</a>
    For non-Drupal paths: Characters space " " and right square bracket "]" cannot be used in URL or text but can be substituted. For space use &#32; and for right square bracket ] use &#93;
    In text tag, space characters can be used as is. For right square bracket ] use &#93; or &#x5D;
    For Drupal paths: Both the URL and text parts are passed to the Drupal function l() which calls the Drupal function url(). Since the Drupal function l() is called, Drupal system paths such as node/281 will be converted automatically to aliases, if present.
    CSS class tags "linkfilter-drupal" (for Drupal paths), "linkfilter-local" (links starting with /), "linkfilter-urlfull" (http:// links), "linkfilter-drupal-node-<node_type>" (for Drupal paths that point to a Drupal node), "linkfilter-mailto" (mailto:// links), are inserted in the HTML A tag as appropriate.
